Bathroom Tile Inspiration

By | Posted in: Uncategorized |

Having to make a decision about your bathroom tiles is not as easy as some people might think, it’s actually one of the hardest decisions in the house besides the roof, as you won’t change them anytime soon. My parents have had their bathroom for nearly 30 years and they’re only refurbishing it now, so it’s worth thinking twice! Tiles are not just tiles and they define the look of the bathroom as a whole, mixing and matching is fine, but you should consider getting a second opinion from a professional first. Do you prefer stone tiles? If yes, marble or mosaic? or anthracite glazed porcelain tiles. Maybe even engineered oak flooring perhaps? It’s overwhelming! And I don’t even want to start talking about all the different colour schemes. Standing in the tile shop usually doesn’t help much as you need to visualise the whole bathroom, it is just much easier to make a decision when looking at inspirational pictures and that’s why we’ve made a collection of our favourite bathroom inspirations in this edition of our blog.

It’s about time that we actually write a pure inspirational post and share our visions with you.

Marble is experiencing a great comeback! It’s the latest trend in design and fashion and it’s not only a temporary hype, it’s timeless, so you can’t really go wrong with it. These gorgeous marble tiles brighten up the room and appear to be larger than they are through perfect lighting and choice of colour. If you like a clean and elegant room, the marble tiles are the right choice for you. Similar, are our Bianco Carrera Polished Marble tiles.

It is rare for a colour like grey to go out of style, especially in design. Deciding on grey tiles in your bathroom is just a clever choice, you won’t see much dust and you can add and remove any colour you like since grey is a flexible colour. We suggest a mixture of two different tiles to achieve a classy style, just like on the pictures below. Our Jubilee Black Polished Porcelain goes well with the View Centauro Matt Porcelain or even just mix them up with our View Magellano Porcelain or the New York Anthracite Matt Porcelain.

Another favourite of ours are earthy tones. They have a calming effect on people and embody comfort and balance. The white walls in contrast to the light brown tiles have a positive impact on the overall architectural impression, as it adds brightness to the room as well as appearing to be larger than they actually are, so it’s a good tip for small bathrooms. Good lighting in the bathroom is a high priority in order to see the details of the design and to bring out the best of the beautiful tiles. Depending on your taste, we suggest a mix between our Villeroy & Boch Tribute Beige Rough Polished Porcelain with the Jubilee Ivory Polished Porcelain or for a little darker tone the Quin Coffee Matt Porcelain with the Jubilee Ivory Matt Porcelain. So many choices!
