New Year, new interior?

We’re well into the new year now as of the end of January and the first month went by in no time. A new year always brings new interior trend predictions with it and we’re showing you the trends that’ll into the stores this year. With that being said, we think it’s good to have a fresh start to the year and maybe redecorate the home. Just keep in mind, you don’t have to change your entire home to make it look like a magazine spread. Keep your personal note to it and just add some bits and bobs.

How to mix patterns?

This year it’s all about patterns and mixing them up in unusual combinations. To find the perfect match, it is easier to work with monochromic and neutral backgrounds, so that the full attention is drawn to the actual pattern. It’ll simply stand out more. Different patterns don’t mean you have to go all out in colour either, different patterns in the same colour scheme will make a room look interesting and elegant. See the picture below as an example. The monochrome look is well applied. They stayed within the colour scheme but used different patterns to add a touch of sophistication and style. We are all for stripes, leopard print and floral patterns as they’re just fun to try out new combinations and colour matches.

It’s usually all about pillows, rugs, sofas and wall paintings but patterned tiles are just as much an upcoming trend. New trends invite to rethink the choice of tiles you’ve made 10 years ago for your bathroom or the old kitchen flooring you can’t even look at anymore. It’s time for a change and if you have a look at our website, we have a variety of tiles on our website to pick from.
